Sister in hospital weekly.....help!

Post by admin »

HI! I was researching nerve damage and ended up here. Seems like a remarkable site. My sister had a work related injury a few years ago. She went thru several surgeries which only added more pain and further injury. Her hospital visits have gone from bi-monthly to weekly now. She is in SO much pain that she can't take it. Her pain leads to excruciating headaches. She has recently had a mild heart attack because of this. The pain is so bad and often that it's taking a toll on her body.
Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you!

So sorry to hear how your sister is suffering so...has she been diagnosed with a brachial plexus nerve injury or some other type of shoulder injury.
I would suggest she needs to see a neurologist for an accurate diagnosis and a pain specialist to deal with the relentless pain. I went through years of not being taken seriously and being without adequate pain medication because of ignorant physicians, so my heart aches for her. She has a "right" to adequate pain control so she can have some quality of life, regardless of the source of the pain. Maybe an opinion from another doctor is in order.
Good luck.
