Backpacking and BPI

Have you ever wanted to go backpacking? But, you do not think you are able because of BPI. Well, guess what. You can, providing one has enough muscle mass on the shoulders. Today's backpack's are equipped with many adjustment features that allows a fine tuned fit for anyone with BPI.

To prove my point. One needs the desire to backpack. A pair of legs and shoulders...that's it! Of course, other gear is needed. My reasoning is that no one should give up on any type of activity.

Just a brief summary of my accomplishments include a 1989 Appalachian Trail hike of the entire trail in 159 days. Working on completing hiking the last 167 miles of The Long Trail in Vermont. I have hiked numerous miles throughout Maine, where I live. Nature and I agree on life. It sets me free from what people try to keep me from doing. Yes, backpacking can be exhausting. However, when one reaches the summit of a mountain, one has nothing to do except to say I DID IT!

The outdoors is a wonderful place to hike and camp. To see an Eagle, Canadian Jays, Deer, or any other type of wildlife, is a bonus prize. So, don't forget a camera.

For more information, one can go online with different suppliers and read the information about backpacks. I strongly suggest L.L. Bean, Campmor, Sierra, and eBay.

I agree! I have gone backpacking twice and really enjoyed it. In most cases I was able to put my on and take it off the pack on my own, but having a buddy who knows about the injury and can help you put on or take off your pack as needed is helpful.

I love cooking and I borrowed The Well Fed Backpacker from the library. I liked it so much I ended up purchasing my own copy!
