Re: 18 Month Old TBPI

(Please bare with me, I am still not very familiar with the terminology for all of this!) - You are doing great! Dr. Solomon suggests physical therapy twice a week for the next 3 months. He said at that point if there is no progress, we can discuss other options. I really don't agree with this, mean...

Re: Possible Nerve Graft Surgery Friday 2/27: Then what?

Hi Rich, I hope the surgery went well and you have a better idea of the damage and what is possible going forward. The question of recovery really depends on the surgery and what was moved around. I suggest get back doing "life" again as quickly as possible, if you were athletic, get back ...

Re: No doctors help and Despaire????

Tom, thanks for your suggestion earlier. I have since left a message for my doctor to call me back. (Twice) in order to get a referral to a bpi specialist. I haven't heard back in 2 days. I will continue to pester them until I get results! Thanks. Denise Hi Denise, Just posted in the other thread y...

Re: Searching For Doctor, Help Please

I realize the Mayo clinic would be the best choice but, because of the distance, I would not be able to frequent there. Any help is appreciated! Hi Blondie, I would echo what you just said but with the addition that it would be worth it to at least get your records to them and see if they recommend...

Re: Athletic Arm Sling

I just received this picture and wanted to add it here. This is Tino, he just got the sling last week and sent me a picture of him already doing one arm push-ups. Way to go Tino!

Re: Amusement Park Troubles

Hi Zeb, If you are still in the LA area, let's grab lunch. As far as rides, I have never had an issue, I also haven't tried wearing my sling. I just get in and let er rip. Thinking about the issue you faced, I am sure they are responding out of prior issues with people with casts or some form of a s...

Re: 24 Hours of Lemons

Hi Brian, Looks pretty fun and funny. You could totally do an entire theme on the one arm thing. How often do they do these races and what part of the country? There are a few brachial plexus FaceBook group, including one for UBPN. You might want to post there as well as search out some arm amputee ...
