Re: Has everyone checked out the UBPN Videos?????

First, It's great and I'm so glad it's been made. I would have liked to have included pain/sensation issues, paralyzed diaphragm issues, horners, heightened sunburns on affected side and the rest of the list, not to mention all of the possible surgeries, forced casting, estim. and endless therapy......

Re: fever and pain

Same thing with us. All the stuff you guys described. Mine is 3 1/2 yo now. She is beginning to ask me to do something for her pain when it strikes and I am at a loss... Any suggestions? I've taken her to pain "specialists" who have seen her at appointment times which don't coincide with h...

Re: Recommended Surgeons

I would travel across the world for Dr. Stevanovic at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles. He is amazing. I would be happy to speak with you about your questions and concerns in general if you want to contact me. Please do your own research on any Dr. you're considering... LOTS of research!

No money from settlement or trial for child?

Has anyone come across a situation where there is a settlement from mediation or there are trial winnings and the child is not permitted to receive any assistance from that amount for their injuries until they are 18 years old?

Re: Constrictive Therapy- Casting the unaffected arm

We had an O.T. who firmly believes in forced casting. I never liked the idea, and she had to work hard to get me to do this with my little girl. I agree with all the above emotions mentioned. There were one or two times that it did have a great outcome. Even her preschool teachers commented they saw...

Advice with weird stuff and Pain

When my daughter takes a bath, her affected arm (only) becomes very, very red except for a white line that is all the way around her arm, just below the deltoid... Can anyone explain this to me? I'm assuming it's related to her also getting sunburned only on her affected side. Last night, she sudden...

Re: Amtryke

Hi and thanks for your response. She did use this with an O.T. and loved it. The O.T. is recommending it. I believe she uses her arms along with the pedals. I think it's primarily, if not all propelled, by her legs.

Amtryke

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has a gifted amtryke they're done using and wants to pass it on to another family? We could really use one, but can't financially swing it.

Thanks.

Re: trial over...we lost

I am so sorry! There is so much I want to say, but being in the middle of a legal situation myself, I'll just bite my tongue. I will say it makes me shake my head and want to stand on a roof top and scream to the whole world, saying all sorts of things. You can email me to vent anytime! Count your b...
