Re: Anyone Using Methadone For Pain?

Get off the pain meds! Exercise the limb! The body will take over. Don't become dependent on pain-killers.

Christina: I send you compassion and empathy! From a personal viewpoint, I think we all go through the "WHAT IF" phases during our life. And, sometimes, we tend to lose sight of our creativity, adaptability, and strong will of empowerment. It is easy to fall into the "OW, IT HURTS&quo...

Re: Anyone wear a suit and sling to work?

Hi:

Have a button or link sewed on the outside of the cuff. Use VELCRO on the inside for a neater appearance.

Trish:

Is it not a wonderful feeling of fitting in with people with BPI?!

UBPN is the only national support group for BPI.

Personally, I find that living with BPI is a gift, not a disability - so to speak.

Re: Why doesn't my meds seem to work very long

After years of pain meds, I ask my doctors to discontinue them. I use naproxen, meditation, ice, icy-hot, and accupunture.

Re: Got a denial from SSD ....now what

Hi Christina:

SSD is known for denials. I used a company called ALLSUP. They required 25% of my first check, if I won, and 0 (zero) if I lost. I WON on my appeal...so do not give up!

Re: Rehab for Steindler Surgery 25 Years After My TBPI

Be patient. I strongly view that exercise is one of the better ways to work the limb. Theraband provides a sl...
