Re: Anxiety issues
Hi Allison -- We have been dealing with this for a couple of years. My daughter's anxiety only really occurs at test time. She does excellent on regular classroom work and home work but gets awful test grades. Teachers would just say it was test anxiety because she knows the information. I asked her...

Re: Pre existing condition
I think what Amy stated is key, at least in Ohio where I reside -- once you are covered for the injury on an insurance policy you have a window in which you can move your coverage and the new insurance company must cover that injury/condition. In Ohio I believe it is six months to a year, but I'm no...

Re: what to say when people are insensitive...
One thing that I've taught myself to leave out is how big my daughter was at birth, especially when she is around. My daughter just recently said to me, "if I hadn't been so big, this never would have happened." Although, certainly size does play a role, proper delivery techniques and posi...

Re: C-section on Tuesday
Emily -- Although your anxiety is perfectly normal after a traumatic birth experience the chances of another incident occurring with your second birth via c-section is slim. I had a traumatic birth with my daughter (ROBPI) and had my son via c-section six years later with no complications. I was sup...

Re: Mod Quad Surgery not good anymore???
I have heard this before (just parent discussion, not from a doctor). My daughter had the mod quad and I've decided I'm not sure I would do it again. At the time I was thrilled with the results. Her arm was completely frozen at the side of her body and after the mod quad she had full range. Unfortun...

Paul was our "cover boy" for the last Outreach. You can view the issue under resources/Outreach and view the most recent issue. We will certainly try to get a follow-up when he returns. He is an amazing guy!

Re: Brachial Plexus Injury Prefiled Bill for Senate
This is such wonderful news. Congratulations and great work. Truly a grassroots effort. Keep us up to date. Once the bill passes (fingers crossed) we can reference it for our state officials. I'm so excited!!!

Re: Donations
If you go to the home page or the SUPPORT UBPN link above you can make a donation via Pay Pal. That is probably the easiest way. Thanks so much -- it means so much for the organization!

Re: Private Message Boards?
The private boards will return. We need to reprogram these boards. We are continuing to work on the boards but wanted to get the basic forums up and going as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.
