At the end of it ... I mourned my losses and celebrated my gains. Many years ago I wrote a post on the ...

Re: how did your parents deal with your injury?

My Mom was very open about what happened to me. I always knew the doctor made a mistake and pressed to hard on my nerves. She was in awe of the doctors at NY Hospital, who began treating me at 2 1/2 weeks of age. I was born in a hospital and at that time the mothers and babies remained in the hospit...

We have the same injury but different issues with it. OBPI is a birth injury. Children are taug...

Re: I have a new blog for my daughter

You have a beautiful baby girl! I'm sure, that there are times when this path your on is overwhelming. I am robpi and was injured at birth. I had no hand or arm movement and was almost 5 when I began using my right hand. Your positive attitude towards this injury and her ability to conquer all the c...

Re: Adelaide Australia Support Groups

We use to have the mom of an obpi man posting but there was nothing in AU as far as she knew. They lived in Adelaide but her son never posted and she stopped.

Re: 1967 article about long term follow up Erb's Palsy

Rich I found this very interesting. I was born Nov of 1939 and my treatment started 2 weeks later at this hospital. They made a special brace for me that when around my midriff and up my arm (traffic cop position) my hand was strapped to the brace so that the palm of my hand faced my ear... It looke...
