Re: Anyone teenager?

Try looking on Facebook! A lot of the younger people would be there. You might be able to find support in your area but you will definitely be able to find an online support group for her. There are "teenager only" Facebook groups for injured kids. I'm 21, so I'm not a teenager anymore but...

Re: Questions for Adrian Clayborn DE of Tampa Bay Bucs

Hi Adrian! Even though I'm a huge Texans fan, I am so inspired by your story and always root for you! I'm 21 with a left BPI. I was wondering what kind of attention you received when drafted to Tampa in regards to your injury? Were people skeptical of your abilities despite what you showed in colleg...

"Your Arm is Mistake?"

Hey everyone! I haven't posted in awhile but I just got back from a 10 day humanitarian trip through Global Brigades to Ghana (Africa) to build rain wáter storage units and latrines for an impoverished, rural community. I was with a lot of my friends from school and it was an amazing experience! I j...

Re: Seeking other teens with BPI

Haha I'm here Carolyn! Well I'm 21, so not technically a teenager anymore, but I'd love to talk to any of the teens that want advice or just someone to relate to! You can message me for my email! :)

Re: College Scholarships

I sent my application for that scholarship in 2010 when I was applying to college and never got a response! I couldn't find any contact information either.

Re: Attn: Girls Shaving, I need help / info,

You can shave under the "good" arm without even using your injured arm. Just put your elbow straight up in the air and you should be able to hold a razor and get to your underarm pretty easily without even involving the BPI arm. You just have to hold the razor lightly between your fingers ...

Re: To The Parents of OBPI Children

Wow, I just wanted to say what a great post this is. I am 20 years old with a LOBPI with no surgery as well. I hope that the new parents read this and take to heart that your child will be ok. Growing up with this injury can be hard and frustrating at times but great parents are what get you through...

Re: Positive Reaction

Carolyn, just because people didn't respond doesn't mean they didn't read what you had to say! I'm sure you educated lots of people without even realizing! haha I just had a big response because most of my facebook friends are college students scouring facebook for a homework distraction :) I think ...

Positive Reaction

I meant to share this a long time ago but I'm just now getting to it. During awareness week in October, I posted this photo along with this message on my Facebook: 554163_10151215174379701_1057510936_n.jpg "Fun Fact: I can't lift my left arm higher than this. Lol ok so not so fun actually. No, ...
