Miscellaneous Information

Miscellaneous Information:

Caitlin is a high school senior in Sacramento, California, and has a left obstetrical brachial plexus injury.  She has a strong interest in science, and its role in the criminal justice system.  She participated in the Sacramento District Attorney’s Youth Academy and is an intern with District Attorney’s office.  Caitlin’s interest in using science to solve problems can be traced directly to her journey with this injury, and her desire to continually learn and find solutions to overcome any challenge.   Caitlin enjoys sports as a form of therapy for her arm, and has been playing a variety of sports since she could walk.  Soccer, swimming and crew have been the most consistent therapy sports for her, but she also enjoys playing baseball, basketball, lacrosse and track.  She’s a bit of a movie critic and hopes to travel and study around the world.  Through her involvement in UBPN Caitlin hopes to support and educate other people on their own BPI journey.
