Miscellaneous Information

Miscellaneous Information:

Brittany was injured as a result of a traumatic birth in 1997. All five BPI nerves, as well as C4 and the phrenic nerve, were torn from the spine. At the age of 3, she was enrolled in a local dance studio, and her love for the art of dance blossomed. By the age of 8, she had been selected as a member of the studios competitive team and travelled year round to represent the studio at several dance competitions. She competed with the studio for 7 years. As she entered high school, she continued to take classes, and was also an assistant teacher to 3 and 4 year olds. But, her focus was set on making the high school dance team. After a year on pep squad, she did just that. She was blessed to spend 3 years on the high school dance team, and meet some amazing people in the process. After high school, she found herself as a staff member for a high school dance team camp, and could continue sharing her love for dance. While she has made some pretty great friends, the best friends are the ones that she has known for as long as she can remember. Brittany’s parents found UBPN in 2001 and have been attending camps ever since. The friends that both Brittany and her parents have made, are friends that will surely last a lifetime. Brittany’s goal is to become a nurse practitioner and specialize in NICU or pediatrics.
