Tammie - once you are able to remove the splint for bathing, that will help plus you can put on a tight undershirt (or a coolmax) shirt underneath to stop the rubbing of the foam on Joe Joe's skin.

I emailed Dr. Nath and this is what he said: Go ahead and remove the steristrips and put Benadryl lotion on the itching area if needed. Gosh, I can't imagine removing those strips right now. He has a fit when we change the gauze because of the tape. Not mentioning the pain about holding the arm in place. I'll have to think about this....
